I have a pain that generates in my left hip and goes down my leg, through the knee and on down to the foot. It is on going for about 3 months. Sometimes unbearable, keeping me awake at night. I have a history of blood clots, but caused by a cervical rib. Is there any danger there?

Hello,

Go for the MRI lumbar spine.

The pain may due to the sciatic neuralgia pain due to clot or block aggravate while walking only.

So it is not due to clot; the spreading nature of pain shows due to L4-L5, L5-S1 disc problem and also may be due to straightening of lumbar spine or loss of lordosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
