Is There Any Hope Of Recovery With Disc Protrusion?

Hi, I have disc Protrusion posteriorly at T6/7 down to T8/9 level. most pronounced at T7/8 followed by the level below. There is the impression of adjacent canal compromise with secondary cord compressive, effect more pronounced at the T7/8 level and more towards the left as opposed to the level below which is smaller and more toward the right. There is no myelomalacial change seen as yet but there could pose subsequent neurological deficit associated with such. There is no evidence of a separate epidural haematoma.

Is there any hope of recovery and a return to work. Regards Kerry Cooper

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
Here the imaging findings being given but to me the clinical manifestation are the important one if you don not have any severe clinical complains your nerve status is intact then you can avoid the surgery and if you have such symptoms then of course the surgery is the option, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
