Is There Any Medication For Safe Heart Rate Elevation In A 91 Years Old Female With BP 160 To 190 Over 70 To 95?

Is there a medication that would safely increase the heart rate of a woman that is 91 years old with high blood pressure? Her heart rate is now 32 to 42 and her blood pressure is 160 to 190 over 70 to 95. Her doctor suggests that she get a pacemaker.

Dear sir

Cardioselective betablockers such as metaprolol, atenol, cardevelol or nebevolol can reduce the heart rate without causing much problems to respiratory and cardiac system.

It can reduce the peripheral resistance making blood flow easy through the blood vessels and capillaries

Secondly aged patients will have decreased lung expansion capabilities. So while giving betablockers we need to be very careful..

Thanks
