Is There Any Need Of 2D Echocardiogram In Case Of Fever?

Doctor 3 days ago my son of 3 yrs and 5 month got high fever around 102 degree and I took him to a child specialist who after checking gave 2 medicines and asked me to do 2D echocardiogram with color doppler test for my son.I am very deppresed about why the doctor has recommended such test.

Hi,
It seems that apart from temperature pediatrician might have observed some abnormality or murmurs in the heart of your child.
There might be having some anomaly or some heart problem since birth and remained unnoticed.
Consult pediatric cardiologist and get examined.
Ok and take care.
