Is There Any Need Of Insulin For Normal Blood Sugar Levels?
misdiagnosed with type 1 diabetes and using insulin, but the day of diagnosis loved one had consumed a lot of sugar and she also is an alcoholic. She claims that the doctor would not have pu her in insulin if she dt have type 1 but her blood sugar was tested at her drs office and her blood sugar was not high at all fell in normal range and he could not even beleive the diagnosis that the emergency room had come up with. Is it possible that her pancreas is slower than normal? will insulin cause her problems? She seems to be able to function when she forgets to take it
Dear madam i can understand your concern in my opinion we need to be sure about diagnosis. kindly check the lad reports on what basis the diagnosis has been arrived. usually Hba1c above 6.5% is taken as criteria for diagnosis. usually type 1 diabetes will present with still higher Hba1c. insulin if taken in normal people it will cause lots of low sugars. it can be some times dangerous also Hope I was able to help you. If you have any further question fell free to write me back.I will be happy to help. Take care. Best Regards. Dr Vamsi Krishna Consultant Diabetologist Apollo Hospitals
