Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is There Any Permanent Cure For Chronic Head And Neck Pain Suffering Since Years Without Relief ?
Have had 14 years of chronic head and neck pain. Many doctors & clinics, procedures, etc. from Boston to San Francisco. No diagnosis. No relief. Looking for someone who is "out of the box" or is ahead of his time. Clinical trials? 69 year old male in otherwise good health. Pain is positional. Sleep like a rock. But after a few minutes out of bed, the pain begins. Only hydrocodone and/or Ibuprofen help (sometimes). Many X-Rays, CT scans and MRIs. No doctor has seen a reason for the pain. But it's there every single day of my life. Problem: within the confines of my neck and head, it moves frequently. Have even tried Calmar - but the inconsistency has prevented that process from being effective.
Hi, I would like to bring to your notice that we psychiatrist usually see this kind of cases which are referred to us by our colleagues. Prolong persistent pain may be a symptom of subtle depression and somatization. Please visit a psychiatrist once with same complaint.
