Is There Any Problem For Keeping The Stitch For Long Time After The Hip Surgery?

I recently had hip replacement surgery. It has been two weeks and the stiches are suppose to com out, but instead of going back to the surgeon I have a previous appointment with my family docter next week and I thought I would have it done then. That means the stitches will have been left in for 21 days. Is that OK..

Hello,

You can get it done with your family physician but he might not do if I think about it. Because the one who operated needs to take the responsibility.

Also physician don't do much with surgery and they leave it over to the surgeon. But still if he removes it then go for it if meeting the surgeon is difficult.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
