Is There Any Problem In Doing Extensive Exercises?
question,
I wanted to go on an extensive weight loss program. I'm 36yo, 176 blood sugar level, bp 130/90, up in cholesterol level, 340lbs, no signs of any organ disease, don't smoke, and drink occasionaly.
You think i have any problems in doing extensive exercises?
By extensive do you mean high intensity exercise? You must first get a fitness evaluation done by a competent physician to rule out any possibility of developing heart problem as high intensity exercises are not suitable for people having a risk of cardiac problem and can result in casualty even if you do not have any previous history of coronary events. Since you are above 35 years of age, you must go for a screening first to make sure you are free of any risks. If you have been sedentary till now, you must start exercise slowly and build up gradually to prevent any mishaps like sprains, cramps, bone dislocations or fractures. You need to increase your physical activity levels slowly and make sure you are persistent as short bursts of high intensity workouts done irregularly will do more harm than good. Hope you have got my point.
