Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Praveen G's Response
Hello, After going through your history of dog bite 9 years back to your son for which you have give all the shots of Rabipur (Anti Rabies Vaccine) and you have not give Rabies Immunoglobulin. Rabies Immunoglobulin is advised only for Cat III bites (Any Wound with Bleeding) and it should be given with in 14 days following the animal bite. As there is no symptoms of Rabies I assure you that nothing is required and your son is safe from rabies. Thank you for asking the question. Thank you
