Is There Any Risk Of Having Two Company S ARV For Dog Bite And Is Immunoglobulin Shot Essential?

Hi, I m from Bangalore, India. On 5-Feb morning around 4.30 a stray dog bitten me on my leg behind knee. My pant was not ripped but the skin is broken. I was in sleepy mood & didnt wash the wound. I took an ARV on 6-Feb afternoon 1.00. Next day (7-Feb) I went to govt hospital & they told that I need to take 3 shots of ARV & also they have different company ARV & I ve to start it from begining (ie from dose 0). I took two shots of their ARV on 7th & 10th Feb. Next one is on 14th. Is there any risk having two company ARV? I took 2 shots in 2 days will it be an overdose? Will it make any bad effects or cause rabies? Also do I need to take immunoglobulin shots as well? Please advice.

Dear Friend.
Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
The company doesn't matter , what is important is which class of Anti Rabies Vaccine you have been given.
In any case , it is very unlikely that you would get any side effect or problem just due to using a different co.
In general side effects like fever , chills , allergic reaction and rarely Gullian barrie Syndrome may occur.
It is now late to take Immunoglobulin as , today is 19th Feb.
This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you want to discuss your issues further, you may please ask us
