Hello,

Brief Answer:

Yes, Zoloft can cause some side effects. Detailed Answer: Zoloft is used to treat depression, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder (social phobia), and a severe form of premenstrual syndrome.

This medication may improve your mood, sleep, appetite, and energy level and may help restore your interest in daily living.

Side effects: Nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, increased sweating, diarrhea, upset stomach, or trouble sleeping, easy bruising/bleeding, decreased interest in sex, decrease in sexual ability (ejaculation delay), muscle cramps/weakness, shaking (tremor), unusual weight loss. may occur.

If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Enton Dore, General & Family Physician
