Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Hydrochlorothiazide and hydrochlorot are one and the same.
It is is a diuretic that is used to lower high blood pressure, which in turn prevents stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.

Coming to your second query, May be the dosage must have been increased, If not you check it for one more week. even then if the problem persists meet the doctor who has prescribed and discuss the condition.

Hope this guides you. Thank you.
