Is There Something To Be Worried For The Brown Spotting During Pregnancy?

10 1/2 weeks pregnant with second child, no complications with first pregnancy at all. Having some brown spotting only when I urinate. Is this something that i should have checked out or can I wait until ultrasound next week. Have not been to first appointment yet. No cramping that I can tell.

Hello,
In view of the spotting, I would suggest a clinical exam along with a trans-vaginal sonogram to look for any choriodecidual hemorrhage and also the viability of the pregnancy. Many-a-time, such incidents happen and usually regress with rest and proper medication. Urinary infections also should be suspected. Please avoid all stressful activity including sexual intercourse and take absolute bed rest until all the symptoms subside. Contact your health care provider for a proper evaluation and further management. Hope this helps.
