Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...hi my mom's appendeix ruptured on thursday and she had to have surgery.They let her go home on monday she weighed 100 pounds and now she weighs 125 her stomach and legs are swelled is this normal

Hello,

It is not normal to have legs swelling after appendix surgery. She must get assessed for lab tests including WBC counts, serum creatinine levels, for further guidelines and management.
