Is Tingling And Numbness In Feet Be A Result Of Taking Diabetes?

i am diabetic on metformin for a number of years. I have tingling and numbness in feet when I lay down. if I prop my feet up, it goes away, standing and walking there are no symptoms. my hands also tingle at times throughout the day. I thought this was due to diabetes neuropathy, but now I don t think so

Dear Sir/ Madam, this seems to be an early sign of diabetic neuropathy. however, the other common conditions like anemia, Vitamin B12 deficiency, deficiency of trace elements and calcium deficiency needs to be ruled out. I would also suggest you to do a thyroid profile to be on the safer side.Wishing you well!
