Is Tingling Sensation Around The Face A Sign Of Stroke?

I am a diabetic taking metformin twice daily (850mg per tablet), Victoza once daily 1.2 units, Levimer 20 units at supper. I have been having tingling feelings around the edges of my face usually after I take my Victoza after lunch but lately have been having the feelings after taking my meds after breakfast. Is this a concern? My numbers have been good ranging from 103-130. Could this possibly be signs of a stroke?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of taking Metformin, Levimer and Victoza for diabetes which has controlled it nicely .
But you have been having tingling at the edges of face that started after taking Victoza initially but now even after other medicines, wants to know the cause and whether this is related to stroke.
This is most probably not a symptom of stroke as it is momentary and comes on after specific medications at specific time, hence most probably looks to be side effect of the medicines.
Hence, I would advise you the following:
Take multivitamins with mineral and nerve tonics as you need these anyway with the history of diabetes.
Consult your Diabetologist to discuss about this symptoms and its correlation with medicines so that he can change over to other medicines or do the best and ask for any further investigations as needed.
Continue your diet control and exercises which is also very important for control of diabetes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
