Is Urine Test Showing Few Epithelial Cells And Urates With No Bacteria Normal?
Hi, am 29 years old , female I have undergone a urine test . Teh result is as follows; Color: straw ,Reaction : acidic :Albumin : negative, Transparency : slightly turbid , specific gravity :1.005 sugar : negative , Leucocytes : 0-2HPF, red blood cells :5-8HPF, Mucus threads : rare , Epithelial cells :few A URATES : FEW ;BACTERIA : NONE SEEN
Hi Your Urine tests shows slightly higher than normal red blood cells and urates (which I presume to be uric acid crystals). Due to the presence of red blood cells, I would advice an untrasound of your urinary tract to evaluate further. Epithelial cells are normal in the urine from shedding of cells from the lining of urinary tract especially if one tests the early morning urine sample, Thank you
