Is Using Propyderm Safe For Redness And Small Pimples On Face And Neck?

Hello.my child is 2 year old.she is having redness and small pimples spreaded all over her face n neck.I consult a doctor in munich she said this is because of her excessive dry skin as winters are aproaching.I agree that she has dry skin but I think this is any allergy.my question is can I apply propyderm cream on her face?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have redness and small pimples on face and neck and you are using Propyderm . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergic reaction from chemical , cosmetic and soap , infection of sebaceous gland and skin infection . The ointment like propyderm contain steroid , antifungal and antibiotics , which should be use only on prescription because long term side effects of steroid . I would suggest you to take over the counter antihistamine like zyrtec , clean that area with cold water and mild soap , avoid applying any cosmetic product except petroleum jelly . If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor my prescribe antibiotics like clindamycin , immunosuppressants along with anti inflammatory .
