Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a partial hysterectomy on 11/19/13, leaving my ovaries. In the last week I have put on 4-5 pounds all of a sudden. Previous to my surgery I was under a lot of stress due to my husband s death in August. Can you tell me if the weight change is going to be an ongoing symptom of the hysterectomy?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. You had partial hysterectomy, so the hysterectomy may not have any impact on the weight gain. You have recovered from the stress, and you would have taken extra care on health for post operative care. That might be the cause of the weight gain. By taking care of the weight in general measures you can control the weight. Take more of green leafy vegetables ,pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods, to have good health, iron, and resistance against the infections. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
