Is Weight Gain A Side Effect Of Clindamycin?

Hi. I was bitten by an insect that had just bit a dog and developed a serious abcess that required 3 surgeries on my breast due to canine bacteria that was deposited in my tissue. The antibiotic clindamycin has been prescribed for 21 days. My question is is it common to gain weight on this drug?

I understand your concern.
You have taken climdamycine for 21 days and want to know that weight gain is the side effect of clindamycine or not.
There is no such side effect reported so far due to use of clindamycine. So weight gain in your case may be due to some other reason and not due to clindamycine.
