Age: 34 years Height: 5 ft Weight: 54 kgs Medical history: Hypothyroidism post delivery, allopaths say I need to take 50 mcg thyronorm everyday to maintain the thyroid hormones fine, am overweight which I thought could be a result of improper thyroid hormones, but the endocrinologists say, the weight is not a cause of thyroid, I see a lot of weight gain on y thighs, abdomen, buttocks, upper arms

Hello,
I have gone carefully through your concern.
Weight gain is one of the symptoms of under active thyroid, but usually seen in severe stages.
Anyway, you should start treatment with levothyroxine (if hypothyroidism is confirmed with blood tests) and normally the symptoms will improve after the correction of the hormonal level in blood.
