Is White Chunks In Vomitus While Having Diarrhea And Vomiting A Concern?

I really haven t felt very good all day. Out of nowhere I started getting diarrhea and vomitting. Neither one of those really concerned me. What concerned me was these tiny tiny little perfectly shaped white balls that were in my vomit. I have never thrown something like that up before and it kind of concerns me because I have no idea what it is. Any clues? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it can be an episode of acute gastroenteritis and may need courses of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin and metronidazole.

Oral rehydration salts, antiemetics like dimenhydrinate, and water replacement is a must.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
