Is Withdrawal Of Ranitidine Advisable?

I ve been of ranitidine for over a year b/c of heartburn. Still have problems on occasion and lately seem to be worse. Research I ve done on the internet suggest my problem is low acid and to take digestive enzymes. I ve done that over the last 2 weeks and I m MUCH better. ? now whether taking ranitidine is creating low acid and not helping the problem and if I should stop that and take the digestive enzymes and also apple cider vinegar w/ water?

Hello,

Long term ranitidine intake makes stomach cells nonresponsive to the same. Must stop it for further 15 days and later decide the future course of action.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
