Itching On Left Arm, Face And Neck, Welt Below Eye. Had Myofascial Release Treatment. Taken Prednisone. Is It Urticaria?
I had a myofascial release treatment last Wednesday, my fourth. While driving h ome I began to experience itching in my left arm crease. During the rest of the day my skin felt itchy on my face and neck. I thought something bit me on the treatment table. The next morning I looked in the mirror and there was a huge welt below my left eye and I was broken out down my cheek on to my neck and on the breast area. There were smaller spots on my arms, around the left knee and in creases around my panties. I saw a nurse practitioner Saturday and she prescribed prednisone as a cream. (The pills create anxiety in me.) Today it is still spreading a bit, but it seems to be clearing on my face. She did not know what caused the reaction. I went on line and think it is pressure urticaria. Neither of the myofascial practitioners have had such a reaction in 18 years. What do you think this is and what is the best remedy? The prognosis?"
Hello.yes ii think it is acute urticaria.i think it is due to chemical used for myofascial release.it can be cured by antihistsmine.antibiotic and short course of steriods
