Itchy Red Spots Around Lips, Swelling. Desonide Cream Not Very Effective. Advise?
Hi, I am a 50 years old woman. I have redspots around my lips, some on my face. They are itchy, too. This morning when I woke up, my lip is little wollen. I have gone to a dermatologist a month ago, he prescribed Desonide .05% ointment to apply to the affected area on skin twice a day. The med helps when I apply on my skin, but then the itchy, redsports come back. I have been dealing with this problem for the past month. not sure what I need to do next....:(

You need to apply good moisturizer 2-3 times a day.
Do not let your skin to be dry.
Otherwise the problem will re occur.
desonide is good and safe cream and can be use when required.
You can take opinion of other dermatologist also.
Wear mask or scarf when going out side.
Drink more water and avoid stress,smoking and sun exposure.
