Joined Gym To Reduce Weight, Now Having Irregular Periods. Prescribed Familon. What's Its Purpose?

i am kalpana 37 years old. I am getting married within few months. Like every woman i wish to look slim before my marriage so i have joined a gymn for weight loss programe.But now the present situation is i am gettng irregular periods every month .My gynae suggested me to take Familon tablets which is a contraceptive pill and i am confused of why she told me to take this pill as m still no married.

Hello,

There are several reasons of irregular period like ovarian cyst, hormonal imbalance, over wt, stress, pelvic infection, improper diet, hypothyroid state etc.

Femilon is combined OCP and it has dual effect as contraception with regularization of period. It will regularize your period.

Take low carbohydrate diet, do moderate exercise to reduce body wt and take suggested medication. Avoid mental stress and take sound sleep.
