Joint Pain, Muscle Pain, Tingling In Fingers. Fighting H Pylori Naturally, Have Vitamin Deficiency. Should I See Neurologist?

Two weeks ago my joints started to ache (knees, hip clicking, ankles) then had muscle pain in upper left arm and left quadricep. The last two days I've added my fingers tingling and left calf pain. I'm currently on vitamin supplements for D and B-12 deficiency and I'm fighting H. Pylori naturally with Mahonia w/Ginger tincture with Manuka honey, probiotics, digestive enzymes, herbal adrenalplex, cal-mag powder. Can the H. Pylori die off cause these issues? Should I see a Neurologist? My blood work from 2 monthes ago came back normal.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
At present you have joint pain ( migratory joint as knee, ankle, hip).
Two months back you got blood work done , normal .
This is useless as disease is now so get in blood for C B C , E S R , Rheumatic factor ( as in this disease usually pain occurs in small joint in the beginning .
2nd reason of pain in different joints may be due to osteoarthritis ( although it effects knee joint first ,but may be exception).
H pylori is nothing to do with joint pain.
Various herbal preparation may not be responsible for joint pain .
If any of these herbal preparation contains IRON then may be responsible for joint pains.
Consult a physician and get his opinion .
Good luck.

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

As you have symptoms pertaining to one side, i suspect it is most probably a central nervous system involvement ( Brain and Spinal cord) and it is only for last 2 days and it is progressively increasing.

It may be a sign of impending stroke.
It may also due to compression of spinal cord in cervical region.

If you are my patient, i will first do physical and complete neurological examination.
If there is any signs of neurological disease, i will discuss with my senior neurologist and send you for CT and MRI Brain.
If no cause is found, then i will ask you to do CT cervical spine to check any disc prolapse, spondylosis, stenosis.

I also advise you to some basic tests like Blood sugar to rule out diabetes, Complete blood count, ECG to find any rhythm disorders, Fasting lipid profile.

Then i will manage accordingly depends on the cause and findings.

Hope this helps.
If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Regards,
Dr.Manjeth.
