Knee Arthroscopic Done To Remove Torn Meniscus And Scrape Arthritis. Concerned About Lump Below Scope Incision

I had a arthroscopic surgery of my knee to remove torn meniscus and scrape arthritis. Doing very well. Still have swelling when I exercise, but no drainage, bleeding, red skin, etc. But, I have a marble size lump directly beneath one of the scope incisions. Is this something to be alarmed about or is it normal?

Based on your description, a small lump below the arthroscopy portal is definitely not normal but may not be a serious problem which is alarming. As you have no signs of infection in the joint, there is nothing much to worry about. Most propably, it could be either a seroma or a local stitch abscess.

Approach your treating doctor for further examination and evaluation.
