Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my knee started hurting, like more inside the knee. Then, last night I felt my leg falling asleep, and slight numbness. I didn t think anything of it, until I just felt it falling asleep/numb again today. What could it be? The pain isn t horrible, but has been coming or going the last few days. The numbness is something that I just really noticed last night and today.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Anuj Dan's Response
Hi, Thank you for posting your question here, I will try to answer it to the best of my abilities.
Did you have any trauma to the knee in the recent past? Were you an athlete in the past? Are you over weight? How old are you? These are very important questions for me to have answers for before I can start concluding what is wrong with your knee. It could also be that this is a one time event which doesnt repeat, so just wait a couple of days try using a hot pack on the knee and if the pain still doesnt go away have an x-ray done. From the results of your xray we can start diagnosing you.
I hope this answered your question.
