Knee Injury, Leg Pain After Stumbling. What To Do?
Hi, I was in the emergency room about a week ago after falling at work and twisting my knee . I was advised to get an MRI , but I couldn t afford it and have stayed off my feet since. The pain was almost gone, and I have already returned to work, but I just stumbled while going down my stairs, and not my leg hurts worse than it did the first time I hurt it. I don t have insurance and don t know if the er can do anything to help since they said last time to schedule an appointment for an mri. The pain is horrible and I don t know what to do.
I would suggest you to show it to orthopaedic surgeon and your self examined as there is chances that you may have damage your ligament and you will need surgery. MRI is only test that can give us this information. Till that time i would suggest you to take bed rest and if you have to go out side then you need to wear knee brace to protect your knee. Also take Brufen tablet for pain relief.
