Labrum Tears In Shoulder, No Relief After Surgery. Muscles Tight Near Shoulder. MRI Ok. Severe Pain. Relief?
I had two labrum tears in my shoulder and h ad surgery 7 weeks ago and if feels worse and the same as it did before surgery. Dr also tightened up my muscles around my shoulder. Over two weeks now my shoulder is coming out of the socket again and it feels like it is tearing again. MRI said it was ok but I have been researching and a reinjured tear may not be show up on an MRI. My dr does not believe me that I am in horrible pain still. He said it's all in my mind. I know there is something wrong but he won't help me.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya KR's Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
You need to give rest to your shoulder joint after surgery. It needs time to heal properly. There will be some amount of pain after surgery. which can be reduced by taking pain killers as advised by your treating doctor. Immobilize your arm for few days with a arm rest. then slowly start moving your arm with your doctors advice.
Hope this helps you.
Regards
