Landed On Left Leg When Playing Football, Pain Above Hips And Hips Bone. Pain When Standing, Walking.
My 17 year old son was playing football on uneven ground and jumped to catch the ball a few weeks ago and landed funny on his left leg. He immediately had pain in the hip and just above the hip. Basketball trainer told him he pulled his oblique but it continues to get worse. He cant put pressure on it. As long as he is sitting he has no pain but when he stands and walks on it he begins to hurt causing him to walk as if one leg is shorter than the other. It is tender to touch just above the left hip bone. He said he turned suddenly today and it felt as if something popped and he went to the ground causing more limping and pain. What could this be?
Hi, From history it suggests that due to injury there might be having some ligamental or soft tissue injury on hip joint. Go for x-ray or CT scan to know the nature of injury. Give complete rest to the part. Take some anti-inflammatory medicines. consult orthopedic surgeon andget examined. ok and take care.
