Dear friend,
It happens with many married men, when it comes to begeting a child. Complains you have mentioned is not a problem rather it is physiological variation. Thickeness of semen comes from Prostatic fluid which has no relation to sperms or it's count. This happens if you are mastrubating frequently so not much of prostatic fluid is mixed in ejaculate. You don't have to worry about thickness of semen and should enjoy your life as before. Regarding conceiving a baby it is more of time of having intercourse which is about the period of viability of ovum. You can consult a gynecologist who will be able to help you more to understand this. If you can provide me your details about period of marriage, time since you are trying for your baby, your wife's menstrual history then I will be able to help you in this matter.
