Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The purple discoloration of the leg and the bump are likely to be due to a hematoma formation in the area. This will improve on rest and hot fomentation in next 3-4 weeks.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
