Legg Calve Perthes Disease Leading To Hip Replacement And Hydrocodone Prescription. MRI Showed Bulging Disc. It Is A Result Of?

I need help in getting pain medication. I have had two hip replacements due to having leg calf perthes disease. I know I will need it done again because of my age. After having my prosthetics placed, I am now having real back trouble. I recently had a MRI that resulted in a bulging disc in t7. It also showed degeneration disease in T8,9,10. I have used hydrocodone 5mg/325 which takes the edge off. However, I am a heavy guy and I built up a tolerance. My family Dr. will prescribe this dose, but I surely hate feeling embarrassed every time I ask for a re-fill. My condition is only going to get worse. I am looking for a dr that will not judge me. I have lived 44yrs in pain and absolutely hate it. However I am need of medication that will help.

Thanks for your query.

You might be suffering from degenerative disc disease & it occurs due to repetitive overload or stress to the disc & it increases the risk of disc herniation & spinal canal stenosis.
For this condition you have to do stretching & strengthening exercises in which you have to stretch tight muscle & strengthen weakened ones which will alleviate stress on facet joint and disc.
Meanwhile for pain control take anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen.
