Legs Shaking, Lost Control While Getting Up And Collapsed, Vision Blurred. Reason?

Hi. So just now when I stood up my legs started shaking and lost control to the point that I would have collapsed but luckily I was near a counter to hold myself up. Also my vision went completely blurry. This has happened a couple times before, the earliest around 9 years ago. My vision has gone blurry many times after standing up. I'm 21, 6', around 205lbs and usually exercise 2-4 times a week. I haven't worked out in around two weeks but still; I'm pretty healthy so what the hell? Why does this happen?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.

If I were your treating doctor for this case of dizziness (faintness) , I would come up with these possibilities , these includes.
1 Postural hypotension , diagnosis can be confirmed by examination of blood pressure when you stand up at once and when lying down. As your weight is pretty high so chance of postural hypotension is there.
2 Hyper tension as again your weight is very high and this over weight may be the reason of hyper tension.Diagnosis can be confirmed by blood pressure examination .
3 Brain fogging due to any reason or cerebellum disease nay be the reason of dizziness . Diagnosis can be confirmed by M R I of brain.
4 As I have noted in many of my obese patient anemia or diabetes , however your history is not suggestive of this thing.
So in my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion about hypo or hyper tension .
Good luck . Dr.HET
