Lesion In Left Eye, Blister, Open Wound. Prescribed Fucidin H Cream. Could This Be Shingles?

I was just at the doctor and he prescribed Fucidin H cream for a lesion in have just to the left of my left eye. It appeared approximately 3 days ago, and is itchy at times along with a sharp jabbing pain. I didn't notice a blister although it now appears to have an open wound. Could this be shingles and if so is Fucidin an appropriate medication?
