Life Expectancy Of A Child Suffering From TB Meningitis, Blind, Dumb And Physical Disabilities?

I m trying to work out the life expectancy of someone who suffered from TB meningitis when she was 3, was admitted to hospital and got a shunt, but has since not recovered. She is blind (optic atrophy?), cannot speak and has physical disabilities and malformed lower limbs. She is now 14 and is significantly dwarfed. She is entirely dependent on her mother, who feeds her at regular intervals since she can t ask her given her inability to speak. In this condition, what would her life expectancy be?

I deeply empathize with you.this is a very unfortunate situation and to say the least the suffering of the child is unbearable.But you have to realize that she is living and surviving against all odds.These disabilities cannot be corrected .Kindly do not ask about her life expectancy...it is The Almighty who decides that.We are just caregivers.Her patients should take care to prevent infections like UTI,pneumonia and shunt blockages.I can only pray that her suffering should subside.May God bless her and her family.Hope this answers your query.Wishing your child a speedy recovery.Have a nice day.
