Long Irregular Periods. Reason?

For awhile now I have been having long periods. Sometimes they rang from a week long to two weeks and even once two 1/2 weeks. Also I will have them far apart. Not every month. Sometimes i will and most of the time i can go months without one. I started mine Feb 19th or 20th and am still going on it. I had my last one around November I think. Maybe even October. For about a yr its been like this. Maybe even longer...

You do not mention your age, Your menstrual history, Or if you are taking contraception. It is difficult to give you an accurate diagnosis without a good Hystory. The most common cause of your problem is a hormonal deficiency . The best solution to this taking a contraceptive pill that has good cycle control. I Do suggest that you have a gynecological examination if you have not had one and this must include a PAP test, this is to exclude any infections. I trust this information is helpful.
