Loss Of Appetite, Loose Yellow Stools, Loosemotion. Is On Dry Food And Juice. Any Suggestions?
My two year old started being picky with food about 4 days ago, she had loose yellow stools and was sick once , next day just picky no sickness , next day sick once and 1 lot of loose stools, today she hasn't moved from sofa , she doesn't look well. She does have back teeth coming, am giving her dry food and juice and she still wants her milk, just took temperature which said 36 c but never used this thermometer before so not sure how accurate it is. Could you advise me what I can do.
it is likely that you child just had a little abdominal upset probably from what she must had ate prior to the onset of her symptoms or that she has a small viral digestive tract infection. Generally, digestive disorder due to food or viral causes take just a couple of days to resolve, they do not cause fever or marked change in general condition. Her temperature at 36 degrees Celsius is okay.
However, you should increased her feeding and fluids, and monitor her stools and temperature. If stools become bloody or abundant or her temperature increases to upto 38 and above, you will need to got to the emergency room.
