Loss Of Appetite, Metallic Taste In Mouth. Taking Metronidazole, Clinndamycin After Surgery For Removing Abscessed Molar
I am taking 2 antibiotics prescribed by my Oral Surgeon. Metronidazole 500 mg every 6 hrs. Clinndamycin HCL 300 MG every 6 hours. I have lost my appetite almost completely and am experiencing a horrible metallic taste in mouth at all times. Is this normal? The Surgery was for removal of an absessed upper Molar.
Hi, Metronidazole is having side effect of metallic taste in the mouth and having loss of appetite. This medicine is essential for healing of abscess. You can ask for another substitute for metronidazole like tinidazole or ornidazole. These medicine is having less side effects. Ok and take care.
