Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi Susan,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Balance is a function of vestibular system and cerebellum of the brain.

As he is having recurrent infections, the spread of infection to inner ear may lead to labyrinthitis which may effect his balance by causing giddiness.

His neurological status has to be examined.

I advise you to consult for the physical examination of the child and for referral to an ENT specialist and pediatric neurologist for further examination and investigations.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
