Lump Growing On Right Elbow, Pain, Swelling. Can It Be An Elbow Cancer?

I am concerned that I may have elbow cancer. There is a lump growing on my right elbow. I noticed slight pain and a little swelling about three or four weeks ago. Now the swelling has increased so that it is like a little ball on my elbow. It looks as if my bone is out of place, but it's just the swelling that makes it appear that way. The swelling is clearly visible. It's only a little painful. I looked about images of people who had elbow cancer and their elbow looked exactly like mine.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

It is too early to say that the lesion that you are having is due to cancer.
Since, the lesion is associated with pain, a history of trauma should be sought.

A couple of investigations are required to diagnose the lesion.
A X-ray of the elbow is needed.
The X-ray will show whether the lesion is arising from unerlying bone or soft tissue.

If the lesion is arising from the soft tissue, a fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is required.
In FNAC, a fine needle is inserted into the lesion, cells are aspirated, stained and examined under the microscope.
Examination under the microscope will determine the character of the lesion, whether it is benign or malignant.
It will also determine the origin of the lesion.

The further management will be guided by the result of the investigations.

Thanks and take care
