Lump On Back Of Head, Headaches. Are These Related?

Hi, I have a question my husband just recently discovered a lump on the back of his head about 3 inches about his above his hair line it does not hurt. Although for the past month he has been getting quite a few headaches. I am not sure the two are related being he just found this lump or what could cause this. Should we be concerned?

Hi, as you describe it appears to be the lipoma, it usually don't hurt. The head ache may not have any relation with the lump. as it is there is no worry about the lump, but if it is growing you can get it removed for cosmetic purpose.
The headache may be due to different cause, may be sinusitis, refractive error, anxiety, etc. if you feel difficulty with the pain, you can consult a physician for treatment.
In that case you can consult a surgeon for diagnosis , and plan the treatment. Thank you.
