Lump On Left Side Of Stomach, Pain Under Left Rib, Constant Low Grade Fever, Fatigue, Bloating, Heartburn, Headache. Advice
I have a lump on the left side of my stomach, I usually get pains under my left rib but that's not where the swelling is. I've been getting low grade fevers. Feeling tired and weak. I've lost like 12 pounds. I get a full feeling in my stomach sometimes, which causes me not to eat very much, sometimes I have no appetite. sometimes get heart burn, get headaches every day.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M.Forum. I would come up with these possibilities for this type of lump and bloating in the stomach , these includes. 1 Cancer of stomach , diagnosis can be confirmed by M R I and upper G I endoscopy . 2 Second possibility is of peptic ulcer disease .Diagnosis can be confirmed by upper G I endoscopy. For bloating and heart burns these measures will be helpful .Try raising the head of your bed about 4 inches with blocks. It also might help to avoid drinking or eating 2 hours before you lie down.To help control stomach acid one should not erik alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them or eat chocolate or spicy or greasy foods. Also might take some antacid but if symptoms are severe you may need drugs like proton pump inhibits. 3 The next possibility may be pancreas cancer , as you mentioned that there is lump and loss of appetite , so this is an indication of pancreatic involvement.Diagnosis can be confirmed by M RI of pancreas. In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion at earliest . Good Luck. Dr. HET
