Dear Concerned.,
Thanks for writing to us.
The very fact that you have developed a bogginess is a cause for concern. On the side of bogginess the blood vessel would have been punctured/ruptured.There may be a skull fracture(could be minor there)An X-ray will rule out the same.A blood vessel may rupture above the bony plate causing
scalp haematoma// or below the bony plate extradural haematoma(serious).
Due to sudden jerk as a result of
head injury, there will be minor molecular level of reversible neuronal disturbances (due to violent shaking )also called
concussion and the foggy feeling could be due to that //or as a remote chance there could be an intracranial clot or a haematoma gradually developing either within the brain matter(intracerebral) or under the coverings of the brain such as Subdural(Subacute).
The other signs of concussion such as seizures/intense head ache/Vomitting/Clouding or loss of conciousness/signs of Skull fracture such as ENT bleeds/CSF rhinorhoea/CSF otorrhoea are all absent.
Kindly consult a NeuroSurgeon who will examine you systematically and may in all probabality suggest a
CT scan of Brain to rule out all of the above.
Wishing you a speedy recovery,
Best Regards,
Dr Lt Cdr ASN Bhushan.
