Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a MRI Lumbar Spine on Tuesday report says L3/4 Mild diffuse amnnular laxity, contacting the anterior theca but no canal or foraminal stenosis . L4/5 Diffuse annular laxity contacting the anterior theca but no canal of foraminal stenosis. L5/S1 Mild generalised disc bulging , the small central focal disc protrusion indnting the theca. No canal or foraminal compromise. No compromise of the exiting L5 or descending S1 nerve roots. Mild facet joint arthropathy.
This is good news for you as most adult spine MRI scans will show findings similar to those described in your report. MRI scans are very sensitive and should be interpreted only in light of your symptoms. None of what you list in the report requires any further investigation or treatment.
