I had an MRI done of my neck for chronic issues from herniated discs, etc, and besides all the spinal disc issues and other nodules etc found, the mri showed a 4mm T2 hyperintense/T1 hypointense lesion along the left paratracheal region, subjacent to or arising from the inferior aspect of the left thyroid gland. Consider correlation with ultrasound. What does that mean?
HI Thank for asking to HCM During the MRI study of cervical region they must have found some another lesion which is not the part of spine but arising from the adjacent region and that is thyroid gland, so is it being advise to perform the test of this lesion by ultrasonography to confirm the exact nature of this lesion, hope this will clear your doubt have nice day.
