MRI Of Right Shoulder Shows Evere Atrophy Of The Teres Minor Muscle Despite An Intact Tendon.
hello I had a mri done of my right shoulder and it shows severe atrophy of the teres minor muscle despite an intact tendon.there is no atrophy to the deltoid that would suggest a compromise of the axillary nerve. I am 40 years old female and have had a shoulder scope and a mumford procedure performed.there is no fluid present and no signs of tears.there is no signs of narrowing either.i have trouble sleeping on my right shoulder and performing repetitive motions.
Isolated wasting of teres minor is quite rare problem. It it causing you any difficulty in any activity. I would like to get your emg and ncv testing done. This will give us idea if there could be blockage of teres minor nerve sensations without deltoid being affected. For the time being I recommend you to take gabapentin tablet and methylcobal vitamin.
