Mild PCOS, Left Side Tubal Block, Took Fertomid, Advised Duphaston. Is The Treatment Right ?
Hi Dr. I am 27 years old and TTC since last 2 years. I am diagnosed with - 1) HSG - Left Side tubal block , Right side loculated spill. 2) USG - Mildly polycystic ovaries. 3) EB - TB PCR negative.
Before laproscopy, I am told to go for 2-3 cycles of O.I.
LMP - 20th June D3 -D7 Fertomid (50 mg) D13 (2nd July) - I went for folical study scan today. Readings are as :-
Day of cycle RT OVARY LT OVARY FREE FLUID 13th F1=16*15*15mm ------ 9.3 mm Avg = 15mm. 30% vasc F2 = 12*10*10 mm Avg = 11 mm
Doctor here told me reading today is 15mm and 20mm is appropriate, that is after around 48 hrs and 24hrs prior and later are ok for relations. Is the treatment fine as per my situation?? From day 20 to Day 30 , I need to take Duphaston .Please reply if the treatment is going in right direction ??
Yes the treatment advised is apt. As duphaston is responsible for all the menstrual functions, it will help on maintaining all the functions that will result and promote in conception.
As per your follicle study, you have been advised the medication to help in successful conception. Please continue with the same.
Wishing you lots of luck.
Take care.
